סיזיפוס

בעבודה סיזיפוס מיצב, וידאו וביצוע פרפורמטיבי חי, הנעים בין מיתוס עתיק למציאות פוליטית־תקשורתית עכשווית. במרכז העבודה סלע גדול, עשוי עיסת נייר עיתון, ומכוסה כותרות מאירועים רנדומליים בשנים 2009-2025 המתחברים למלחמה בעזה — חומרי גלם של מציאות מתועדת, מתווכת ומשוכתבת.

העבודה מתבוננת במנגנון של תיעוד וחזרה — כיצד הידיעה עצמה, כמו הסלע, נבנית ומתפרקת שוב ושוב. היא שואלת על מקומם של האמן, הצופה והעיתונות בתוך מעגל של עדות ועמידה מנגד, שבו פעולת הסיקור עלולה להפוך לשעתוק, והמאמץ להבין את המציאות עלול לשעתק את חוסר האונים מולה. במרחב זה, בין פעולה לאי־פעולה, בין חשיפה להדחקה, נבחנת האחריות — לשאת, לראות, ולחזור שוב.

הועלתה והוצגה בבכורה בתערוכה 'בשבילי זה כבר לא אותו עולם' 2025, כיום העבודה מוקרנת במוזיאון העיר תל-אביב-יפו.

Sisyphus

"The gods had condemned Sisyphus to ceaselessly rolling a rock to the top of a mountain, whence the stone would fall back of its own weight. They had thought with some reason that there is no more dreadful punishment than futile and hopeless labor." (Albert Camus, The Myth of Sisyphus)

Sisyphus is an installation, video, and live performance piece that oscillates between ancient myth and contemporary political-media reality. At its center is a large boulder made of papier-mâché, covered in headlines of random events from 2009–2025 related to the war in Gaza—raw materials of a reality that is documented, mediated, and rewritten.

The work examines the mechanism of documentation and repetition—how the news itself, like the boulder, is built and dismantled repeatedly. It questions the roles of the artist, the viewer, and the press within a cycle of witnessing and standing by, where the act of coverage may turn into reproduction, and the effort to understand reality might only reproduce helplessness in the face of it. In this space, between action and inaction, exposure and repression, responsibility is put to the test—the responsibility to bear, to see, and to return once more.

First premiered in the exhibition 'For Me, It’s No Longer the Same World' (2025). Currently screened at the Tel Aviv-Yafo City Museum.
